Dr. Jen-Yin Chen DDS
Dr. Jen-Yin Chen has been a trusted member of the Union Square Dental Care team for more than 25 years, dedicating her career to providing compassionate, patient-centered dentistry. Throughout her years in practice, she has worked alongside Dr. Angela An, building lasting relationships with generations of patients while helping shape the welcoming, high-quality care that defines the practice today.
Dr. Chen graduated from School of Dentistry, National Taiwan University College of Medicine in 1987. After moving to San Francisco, she earned Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in 1998. Having known Dr. An during dental school, Dr. Chen shares a longstanding commitment to clinical excellence, integrity, and treating every patient with the same level of care and respect they would offer their own family. Together, they have built a legacy of exceptional dentistry founded on trust, personalized care, and a genuine dedication to the San Francisco community.
Dr. Chen is committed to delivering comprehensive dental care with a focus on long-term oral health, patient education, and individualized treatment planning. She believes that every patient deserves to feel comfortable and informed throughout their dental journey, taking the time to understand each person’s goals while developing personalized solutions that promote both function and aesthetics.
Her clinical interests include preventive and general dentistry, Invisalign® treatment, cosmetic dentistry, dentistry, and comprehensive treatment planning. Dr. Chen is particularly passionate about helping patients achieve healthier, more confident smiles through modern, conservative treatment approaches that emphasize lasting results.
Known for her gentle chairside manner, attention to detail, and unwavering dedication to her patients, Dr. Chen strives to create a positive experience from the first visit through every stage of treatment. She values the trust her patients place in her and takes pride in continuing the tradition of excellence that has been the foundation of the practice for decades.
Outside the office, Dr. Chen enjoys spending time with family and friends and remains deeply committed to the practice and the patients she has had the privilege of caring for throughout her career. She is honored to continue serving the San Francisco community alongside Dr. Angela An and Dr. Benjamin An carrying forward a shared legacy of compassionate, exceptional dental care.
